22 killed, 576 arrested: UNHRC accuses Pakistan of brutal action in PoJK

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has accused Pakistan of large-scale crackdown in POJK (Pakistan controlled Jammu and Kashmir). According to reports, at least 22 people have lost their lives and 576 more have been arrested in the recent violent incidents.
According to local sources, these incidents occurred when security forces took force against protesters and civilians gathered in the area. Human rights groups have strongly condemned this action, calling it a threat to peace and stability in the region.
In the UNHRC meeting, the opposition demanded the government of Pakistan to investigate the situation on its own and give the harshest punishment to the culprits. Pakistani officials have called these allegations baseless and politically motivated.
The United Nations Human Rights Commission has asked to send an independent team for an impartial investigation in the area so that the reality of the situation can be revealed. Meanwhile, the world community has also appealed to Pakistan to take appropriate action to protect the safety and human rights of the local people.
Experts believe that regional dialogue and ceasefire are necessary to improve the situation, so that the common citizens there can get relief. At present, tension and uncertainty continue to persist in the PoJK region, which is creating a worrying situation for the well-being there.
