Shedge replaces injured Reddy for T20 series in Ireland and England

New Delhi. The uncapped all-rounder, who is emerging as a new hope in the Indian cricket team, recently got a chance to participate in the 50-over tri-series tour played in Sri Lanka with the India A team. In this tri-series, India A team performed brilliantly and captured the trophy. Now this player has come close to making a place in the national team at the T20 international level.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that Shedge has been included in the team for the T20 series to be held in Ireland and England. This step has been taken in place of injured star all-rounder Lalith Reddy. Given Shedge’s talent and versatile playing ability, the selectors have given him a chance, which will add to the team’s bowling capabilities.

Shedge’s contribution in the 50-over tri-series in Sri Lanka was remarkable. He gave a balanced performance in both batting and bowling and played an important role in the team’s victory. His strong batting and effective spin bowling created problems for the opposing teams. Thus, his selection in the national team is being considered commendable even among cricket experts.

Shedge’s selection is expected to give great strength to the team, especially in the T20 format where the performance of both bowlers and batsmen is important. As a young player, Shedge’s experience is less, but seeing his technique and mental strength, the selection committee has expressed confidence that he will leave his mark at the national level.

Experienced members and coaches of the Indian team are also excited with the inclusion of young talent like Shedge. He has said that with the arrival of new players in the team, competition increases and at the same time the capacity of the team continuously increases. By including Shedge in the team, the Indian Cricket Board is trying to make the team more competitive along with giving opportunities to the youth.

Shedge will get a chance to showcase his talent in the T20 series against Ireland and England in the next few weeks. The eyes of cricket lovers will be fixed on his performance, who are excited for the future of Indian cricket.
