Stock market saw flat trend in sluggish business

New Delhi: A sluggish and restrained trend was seen in the stock market in today’s early deals. Weak trend in Asian markets and fresh foreign investment outflows put pressure on Indian stock markets, leading to reduced trading.
Meanwhile, key indices Nifty and Sensex showed minor fluctuations with no clear indication of bullishness or weakness. Investor activity remained low and trading volumes remained below normal, indicating a lack of market gravity. Analysts said continued weak flows in Asian markets and withdrawal of investments by foreign institutional investors (FIIs) reduced fresh money inflows into Indian markets. Due to this, the morale of the market has come down and investors are acting with caution.
The strength of the US dollar in the Forex market and global economic uncertainties have also affected the market trend. Apart from this, investors are keeping an eye on the upcoming economic data and corporate earnings reports, which will decide the market trends in the future.
According to experts, domestic economic reforms and the debt market situation are also being monitored, which will be helpful in investment decisions. Although there are buying opportunities in some sectors, there is widespread caution in the market.
Thus, today’s trading ended with mixed signals, with investors hesitant in taking major decisions. Global economic signals and local economic developments will play an important role in the coming sessions.
