Baloch leader protests against Pakistan’s political repression, makes serious allegations on unrest in PoK

Islamabad. Amidst the recent tension and unrest in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoJK), which is administratively under Pakistan’s control, Baloch Liberation Front chief Allah Nazar Baloch has strongly criticized Pakistan’s policies. He questioned Islamabad’s repressive actions in the region and said that forceful suppression of political rights would prove unsuccessful.
Allah Nazar Baloch seriously challenged the interpretation of ‘Azad Kashmir’, saying that in reality the region is under the direct control of Pakistan, where Punjab’s supremacy is clearly visible. He called this control system a disregard for the political rights of the people of Kashmir, and rejected the entire system. He believes that the people of this region are deprived of their rights to freedom and their oppression continues.
Allah Nazar said that the struggle and protest that continues is a testimony to the failure of pressure and repression. He called upon all oppressed and deprived groups to unite and strengthen their fight. This statement of the Baloch leader comes amid the ongoing actions of the government and security forces in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, where allegations of human rights abuses are mainly leveled.
Local people in PoJK have regularly raised their voice against political freedom, discrimination and have demonstrated against the increasingly coercive policies towards minority groups. Baloch’s statement has reinforced the real situation amid the growing challenge and increasing conflict in the region.
Experts say that due to Pakistan’s authoritarian control and Punjab’s dominant role in PoJK, political discontent and human rights conflicts have been emerging from time to time. The voices of leaders like Allah Nazar Baloch attract local and international attention in this context.
Amidst this controversy, a strong need is being felt to provide stability in the region and protect the political rights of the people, reducing the harshness of the security forces. It is also believed that only through dialogue and negotiation, a permanent solution can be found in this disputed area, which can end the long standing tension.
